We will
rock you – London –
November 24th 2006
Last time
seeing We will rock you in 2006. Once again a great show. I do admit I mainly
watch the show these days because of several people in the cast. The show itself
is still fun but I might have seen a bit too often. ;)
Galileo: Peter Johansson
It's always fantastic to see him on stage. You can tell he really is having a
great time in this show. I love his facial expressions. His acting once again
was spot. Vocally he did really well... I love his "Who wants to live forever".
Scaramouche: Jenna Lee James
Her voice is outstanding. Although I've seen her do better on the vocal side it
was still fantastic to see her on stage. It's always good to see she has made
the character of Scaramouche her own which I'm sure wasn't easy after she took
over from Hannah Jane Fox.
Killerqueen: Mazz Murray
Actually I don't know what to say about he other than: WOW. She's totally
perfect as Killerqueen. Fantastic voice, great acting and I she definitely looks
the part.
Khashoggi: Alex Bourne
Love the way he plays the character. His Khashoggi is evil but he also has a
funny side. He's great in showing a really dry sense of humor. And I always love
to her the high note he hits in "Seven seas of rhye".
Meat:
Rachael Wooding
Have to admit I wasn't that impressed this time. I've seen her several times and
always liked her performance. However this time she seemed to not enjoy herself
that much. Well, I guess she was just having a bad day.
Britney:
Colin Charles
Still don't like what they made of the character. But Colin definitely makes the
best out of it. He's great in emphasizing the rather ridicules behaviour of the
character. Really like his voice in "I want it all". :)
Pop:
Jeff Shankley
Nice eye patch... no idea why he wore it though. Made Pop look a bit like an
elderly pirate.
His acting was fantastic. I think no one could play the character the way he
does.
Rebel
Leader: Wyn Moss
The Rebel Leader is called Robbie Williams at the moment. I loved the way
Wyn introduced himself to Galileo: "I am Robbie Williams... take that!". :)
Wyn did really well. His facial expressions make him look a bit mad from time to
time but that really fits to the character.
Ensemble:
Can't name everyone that was on. I know Alison Dormer was on for several songs
in act 2 - don't think I saw her on stage for the rest of the show though. One
male swing for Wyn Moss... no idea who it was though (I only know it wasn't
Sandy Moffat).
Great to see Danielle York on stage again. She did really well although her
ensemble part is really, really small.
I like the new Prince - wouldn't mind seeing him as Britney. |
